Which VW e-up! / Škoda Citigo e iV / Seat Mii electric versions should you buy?

Our verdict for each version, based on the documented faults.

  • With caution

These cars are over seven years old and have a small battery; check the battery's state of health (SoH). We have found no faults specific to this series, only limited information.[1]

  • Check with the chassis number that the January 2021 recall (213 cars, modules from May and June 2020 according to Fiches-auto.fr) has been resolved if applicable; otherwise there are few documented faults.[2][5]

Buy: No known serious faults, or they have already been corrected, in this version. With caution: Worth buying if something specific is verified: history, a replaced part or a completed campaign. Avoid: High risk of a serious fault that is hard to check for or prevent.

Gebrauchtwagenberater.de indicates that software faults are rarer on the e-up! than on an ID.3 or Enyaq, and Fiches-auto.fr records no battery, charger or motor faults among its few e-up! reviews.[1][5]
