None of the reliability sources we consulted (up!, Mii, Citigo, Fabia III) documents a serious or systemic engine fault. The most frequently cited issues -- an occasional cooling system fault on the Citigo and Mii, and isolated oil consumption on the Citigo -- affect a small minority of the cases analysed.[1][2][3][4]

What changes in this version

Original tune of the engine, launched in 2011 with the Volkswagen up!, Seat Mii and Škoda Citigo in two outputs (60 and 75 hp, the same block with different programming). It spread, with no design changes noted in the sources, to the Volkswagen Polo V (April 2014 facelift) and the Škoda Fabia III (from its launch in October 2014), which kept it until the end of that generation.[5][6][7][8][9]
