2.2 BlueHDi 120/140/165 (DW12 RU, Euro 6d, Boxer and Jumper 2019-2023, Movano C 2021-2023) engine: faults and reliability

Stellantis 2.2 MultiJet 3 / 2.2 BlueHDi (Ducato, Boxer, Jumper, Movano; 2019 en adelante) version

With caution

We have found no mechanical faults of its own in open sources, but Safety Gate records a software update because the warning light may not come on if the urea injector fails (Boxer and Jumper 2020-2022, Movano 2021-2022). It can be bought if the VIN confirms the update has been done.[1][2][3][4]

What changes in this version

The DW12 RU is the Euro 6d version of PSA's 2.2 for vans: it replaces the 2.0 BlueHDi DW10 FU in the Citroën Jumper and Peugeot Boxer from 2019 and delivers 120 hp (300 Nm), 140 hp (340 Nm) and 165 hp (370 Nm); German-language Wikipedia gives 310 Nm for the 120 hp. The 2021 Opel Movano C uses a 2.2 diesel of 88 to 121 kW. Techni and English-language Wikipedia place a DW12 version in the Ducato from April 2023.[5][6][7][8][9]
