What it means

On continuously variable (CVT) automatic gearboxes, the car may jerk or vibrate under gentle acceleration, especially at low speed or when pulling away, instead of accelerating smoothly. It is usually caused by wear on the belt or pulleys, or by degraded or insufficient oil.
