R5 E-Tech EV40 95 hp (70 kW, 40 kWh battery, 2024-present)
since 2024 · 95 hp
No owner reports on Fiches-auto.fr for this version; if it is a 2024 car, confirm with the VIN that the inverter reprogramming (0EN5 campaign) has been carried out.[1][2]
- With caution
R5 E-Tech EV40 120 hp (90 kW, 40 kWh battery, 2024-present)
since 2024 · 120 hp
Also no reports on Fiches-auto.fr; same checks as the 95 hp version (0EN5 campaign on 2024 units).[1][2]
- With caution
R5 E-Tech EV52 150 hp (110 kW, 52 kWh battery, 2024-present)
since 2024 · 150 hp
It is the only version affected by the battery cell campaign (batch built between December 2025 and January 2026) and the one that concentrates the fault reports; check the VIN.[1][3]
Buy: No known serious faults, or they have already been corrected, in this version. With caution: Worth buying if something specific is verified: history, a replaced part or a completed campaign. Avoid: High risk of a serious fault that is hard to check for or prevent.

What the Renault 5 E-Tech (AmpR Small) is
The Renault 5 E-Tech (2024) uses the AmpR Small platform, formerly known as CMF-B EV, with an externally excited synchronous motor of 70, 90 or 110 kW (95, 122 and 150 hp) and 40 or 52 kWh NMC batteries. According to Wikipedia, it is assembled in Douai (Renault ElectriCity) with the motor built in Cléon.[4]
Fiches-auto.fr distinguishes three variants (EV40 95 hp, EV40 120 hp and EV52 150 hp); all 11 of its reports concern the EV52. The same platform package is shared by the Renault 4 E-Tech and the Alpine A290 and, according to Wikipedia, the electric Nissan Micra.[1][4]
In August 2026 Renault opened orders for an updated version that switches the NMC batteries to LFP and increases power and range, according to Wikipedia; this file covers only the NMC drivetrain from 2024 onwards.[4]
